Anything paid for in the Store is paid on Stripe’s secure checkout, and anything free needs only a free account. The usual questions are answered here. For anything else, write to joEy through the Contact form.
Free downloads and signing in
A free download asks for your email, then sends you a six-digit code and a link: type the code, or open the link, and you’re signed in, with no password. Both work for an hour. If the email doesn’t come, look in your spam folder, then ask for a new one. Once you’re signed in, every free download opens on its page.
Your downloads
Once you’ve paid, the checkout brings you back to a Thank you page with a button for each of your files. That page’s address is your download link. Bookmark it: it keeps working, as often as you need it. What you may do with what you download is in the Terms.
If you lost your download link
Write to joEy through the Contact form with the email address you paid with and what you bought, and he’ll send you your link again.
If a download doesn’t work
If the Thank you page says there’s no paid order and you’ve just paid, wait a moment and reload: it asks Stripe again each time. If it says your order couldn’t be looked up, nothing is lost; try again in a minute. If it still doesn’t work, or a file won’t open, write to joEy through the Contact form and he’ll put it right.
If the checkout didn’t open
If Buy brings you back to the Store saying the checkout couldn’t open, nothing was charged. Please try again in a minute.
Subscriptions
A subscription renews by itself until you cancel. To cancel or change one, write to joEy through the Contact form with the email address you paid with, and he’ll do it for you. It stays open to the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Things that ship
Shirts and other goods are made when you order them, then shipped to you, so they take a week or two to arrive. Once it’s paid, an email says yours is being made, and another brings its tracking when it ships; a reply to either reaches joEy. Because each one is made for you, check the size guide on its page before you buy. If it arrives damaged or misprinted, write to joEy through the Contact form with a photo of it, and he’ll put it right.
Your receipt
Stripe emails your receipt when you pay. Some digital items are sold through Link, by Stripe: Link takes the payment, collects any sales tax, VAT or GST where you live, and emails your receipt, with a PDF copy attached. You can see those orders at link.com, signing in with the email address you paid with.
The charge on your statement
It reads ETERNAL CRANE, or, for something sold through Link, begins with LINK.COM*. If you don’t recognize a charge, or were charged twice, write to joEy through the Contact form; for a Link order, Link’s support can look into it too.
Refunds
To ask for a refund, write to joEy through the Contact form with the email address you paid with and what you bought. What can be refunded is in the Terms, and joEy looks at every request himself.
Anything else
Write to joEy through the Contact form, saying the email address you paid with and what you bought, and he’ll answer you by email. Never send your card number: joEy never needs it, and never asks for it.
